SIGN OF THE TIMES

Aside from their bias in news reporting, the three major TV networks continue to produce the crappiest prime-time programming in the history of television. Who exactly are they trying to appeal to? And do they even know who the majority of television watchers are these days?

In the latest clear example of their cluelessness, it was announced that the number one prime-time network in New York City was -- drumroll -- Univision, the Spanish-language network.

POLITICALLY CORRECT = POLITICAL CRAP

SORRY . . . BEEN BUSY

Sorry for lack of blogging lately, but work priorities and much-needed vacation time have interrupted my normal routine. This may be the case for another couple of weeks.

It's not that there's a lack of things to blog about, but on the Richter scale of what's important, it seems as though really meaty news is still on summer holiday.

See you after Labor (Labour) Day, which I will spend north of the border.

WILL ANYONE ADMIT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS?

I'm really tired of hearing from the left that Bush could have prevented 9/11, since many of the "why's" are now clearly demonstrating there was in institutional bias from the Clinton administration that ensured intelligence agencies would not communicate with one another.

It's astonishing and disgusting that the Clintonites continue to circle the wagons in order not to sully the Clinton name, what with Hillary running for Senator/President.

I am glad that the most recent information to illustrate this is coming out from under the rocks. Let's see whether anyone is going to run with this.

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME

This is your brain.

This is your brain on drugs.

WRONG FOR THE PAST 40 YEARS

40 years ago, when Daniel Patrick Moynahan was Assistant Secretary of Labor in the Johnson administration, his department wrote a prophetic study called “The Negro Family: The Case for National Action.” It said, that there was a strong correlation among the following factors -- single-parent household, poverty, race. In effect, it said that America's inner cities, mostly black, mostly poor, was disintegrating.

As you would expect, liberals went bonkers in an exercise of denial.

40 years later, it's worse.

IS BUSH A BIGGER THREAT THAN BIN LADEN?

If you're an extreme left-wing liberal -- probably.

And you support organizations, like the ACLU, that are doing everything they can to make finding and arresting terrorists much harder.

IT'S NOT THE WAR, STUPID

If the Democrats want to seal their fate in 2008, they'd better get off the anti-war track and get real with respect to the issue that will continue to sink their boat.

They should have learned last year that the core "red" state voters do think the war is an important issue, but there is a catch phrase that encompasses the real issue -- moral values.

As Patrick Hynes writes today, Democrats are not listening to the voters and have a very long way to go before they can convince many people that they get it.

DOING THE "RIGHT" THING

Christopher Hitchens wrote an excellent piece on Monday which makes a very sound, logical argument that the only conclusion you can draw from the positions taken by those on the left is that they want the democratic model in Iraq to fail.

I've said many times pretty much the same thing. There is such irrational hatred of George Bush on the left they only want to see him fail, even if it would mean the collapse of Iraq.

As Christopher says, for shame.
