NOT GOOD ENOUGH

I haven't seen a written report of it, but I heard a radio news report this morning that Sen. Clinton made the following comments at an event in California last night:

1. She's "considering" running for President in 2008.

2. She believes the Republicans will nominate either John McCain or Condoleezza Rice.

My assessment:

1. She made up her mind about six years ago (maybe 20 years ago!) to run for President in 2008.

2. McCain has no chance to be nominated. Rice may be a strong candidate in the primaries but, as smart and as talented (and female and African-American) as she is, I believe someone else will be the nominee. Who? No clue -- just not either one of these.
