UH, NO. THE ELECTION ISN'T OVER, SIR.

You heard it here. The presidential election is still winnable by Kerry, or so think a number of "Dem deny-ers" who are still alleging the vote in Ohio was rigged.

LITE BLOGGING ALERT

I will be traveling on business to the left coast for most of this week and on vacation (mostly in Canada) the following two weeks, so not sure how much will be blogged between now and '05.

POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK

I find it hilarious that Bill Moyers, in his "retirement speech", says "I think is the biggest story of our time: how the right-wing media has become a partisan propaganda arm of the Republican National Committee."

Interesting. This from a guy who worked for Lyndon Johnson, one of the biggest Democrat political hacks to occupy the oval office, who also worked for the most liberal of "news" organizations -- PBS.

The word dickhead comes to mind.

NOUVEAU RACISM

I couldn't imagine what the reaction from liberals would be if white conservatives trashed black liberals the way that white liberals trash black conservatives.

Apparently, liberals are becoming more and more angry at blacks who just don't realize what a debt they owe liberals in general, and white liberals in particular.

Ann Coulter, as you might imagine, has something to say about this.

SIGNS OF FURTHER DECAY

All you have to do is read this story and you'll understand why the Democrats are already planning for an even worse defeat next time around.

DEVOLUTION

It's sad. Thirty years ago, the best Japanese car was pitiful in quality. American cars were certainly better and European cars were at the top of the heap.

Today, more and more, the order has reversed, with once-vaunted Euro brands like BMW and Mercedes having many quality problems. American car quality has improved and the Japanese are at the top of the heap.

Why? Read this story about GM's Opel division.

VOTE EARLY, VOTE OFTEN

Do you think Fahrenheit 9/11 is the best picture of the year? It's nominated for a People's Choice award.

If for no other reason than voting against it, go to this website and cast at least one vote.

PASSIVE, BUT NOT AGGRESSIVE

As usual, Wretchard finds parallels between the evolution of British society and their place in the world. In this case, it's a description of life as it is in the U.K., where it is suggested that you passively allow robbers, burglars and other criminals to do whatever they want to do. God forbid you defend yourself. Those who have usually spend more time in prison than those who were actually committing the crime.

With this sort of institutionalized passivity in their daily lives, it should be no surprise that their's is a society at risk of decline, if not already there.

ANOTHER LIBERAL NIGHTMARE

If you're a liberal, the after-analysis and some of Bush's appointments have to be making you nuts.

It appears that, aside from all the "right-wing fascist religious nuts" whom the liberals claimed Bush appealed to and was elected by, there is another group that might actually be more responsible.

Across the board, Bush's increase in votes amongst the Hispanic community was impressive and he has since made at least two important appointments of Hispanics. It's clear to me that his being a Spanish-speaking Texan who understands Hispanic issues more than a French-speaking New Englander is the reason. That, plus the Hispanic confusion about a Catholic who condones abortion.

FRENCH=ENEMY

It's always been about the money. Read this fascinating account of how the French have always been eager to protect their "investment" in Iraq, even when they were supposedly fighting against Iraq.
