ARE THE GERMANS BEGINNING TO WAKE UP?

35 hour work weeks. 6-8 weeks vacation per year. Substantial pensions.

You've heard the stories about the "good life" in Germany. The social/capitalist state may be coming face-to-face with its future and deciding it's time to get back to work. Siemens just told employees at one of its plants they'd have to work 40 hours a week for the same pay as they've received for 35 hours. Otherwise, there would be layoffs.
