PUBLIC EDUCATION -- NEW YORK STYLE

Would you allow your teenage prodigy to go to college early? Why not?

Why force them to stay in high school and be bored to death?

Well, it seems that in New York they just don't like that idea. And it's one of those "Catch 22" things -- you can enroll in college, but you may not leave high school unless you are at least 16.

Sound silly?

Well, one parent may wind up being thrown in jail for letting his daughter skip high school.
